Palms, ferns, cycads, ixora, and ornamental plants need ample amounts of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, iron, sulfur, and other micronutrients to produce lush green growth and vibrant colors. PalmGain 8-2-12 palm fertilizer is the easy way to ensure plants have these meaningful elements. Feed every 4 to 6 weeks throughout the growing season. In areas where there is a threat of frost, feed every 4 to 6 weeks from February to September. Do not fertilize immediately when planting palm trees. Wait about 4 to 6 weeks after planting when you're sure adequate soil water content is achieved and risk of transplant shock has passed. Spread the palm fertilizer evenly over the soil surface, within the drip line of the plant but away from the trunk. Scratch lightly into the soil surface to work the fertilizer into the soil. Be sure to avoid damage to shallow roots. Do not throw fertilizer down the crown of the plant. Do not apply PalmGain palm fertilizer to dry soil. Be sure to water the area well before and after fertilizing. Take care to brush or wash fertilizer granules off leaves to prevent leaf injury.
