Supermercat uses everyday objects to create surreal images, that makes
you look twice. Their playfull creations typically combines objects in
unexpected ways, that gives the image a new meaning. The artworks are
a reminder that even the most ordinary of things can be funny,
beautiful or plain weird - it just takes a little bit of animation.
Supermercat is the creative partnership between photographer Theis
Bothmann And Art Director Malte Gaarde. They build everything in real
life and uses minimal photo manipulation. They tend to like deeply
saturated colours. They say that want people to engage in an
exploration of their images. That the viewer should discover something
that was not obvious in the first place. In that way each image is a
small story in itself.
